Live-in Housekeeper required in Chelsea – ASAP Start

An ultra-high-net-worth family based in Chelsea is seeking an experienced live-in housekeeper to help maintain their home to an exceptional standard and support the daily routine of their two school aged children.

• Working hours: Monday to Saturday, 7:30 am – 7:30 pm

Overview:

This is primarily a housekeeping role, alongside very occasional childcare duties and assistance to the family’s nanny. The ideal candidate will be warm, highly organised and confident working within a private household.

Duties include but not limited to:

• Maintain excellent standards of cleanliness, tidiness and organisation throughout the home.
• Carry out thorough daily housekeeping and regular deep cleaning.
• Select appropriate cleaning products and methods for different surfaces and finishes, taking particular care with delicate materials.
• Manage laundry and garment care, including washing, drying, ironing, steaming, folding and putting clothing away.
• Follow garment care labels and confidently care for a wide range of fabrics, including delicate and luxury clothing.
• Identify items requiring specialist treatment or professional dry cleaning.
• Keep wardrobes, cupboards and household linen organised.
• Help the household prepare for the day, supporting the children’s morning routines as required.
• Carry out grocery shopping for the family and monitor stock levels of food and beverage items.
• Assist the nanny when needed, including accompanying the younger child to the school bus stop – 5-minute walk.
• Work cooperatively with the family and other household staff, respecting established routines and preferences.

Key criteria:

• Extensive housekeeping experience within high-standard private homes, ideally UHNW households
• Comfortable working as part of an established household team
