Hire a Corporate Head Chef

A corporate head chef will likely be managing a team of multiple chefs and working closely with the hospitality manager to run the operation and meet targets.

Outside of any cooking requirements, their responsibilities would likely include menu planning, managing a P&L, working to the budgets, costs and percentages.

The types of functions they would be cooking for include director lunches, internal meetings, client lunches, evening event functions.


Permanent corporate head chefs will typically work 40-45 hours per week.

Temporary corporate head chefs will work on an ad hoc basis up to 12 hours per day.

Salary Expectation

A temporary corporate head chef would be charged to the client at a fixed hourly rate.

A permanent corporate head chef could command a salary of between £35,000 – £60,000 depending on experience.
