Overview
A highly experienced Domestic Couple is required for a large country estate in Surrey. The property is a 7-bedroom house set within extensive gardens and grounds. This is the family’s secondary residence and is currently undergoing a staggered renovation. The accommodation for the domestic couple will be ready first, allowing for you to move in and have oversight of contractors doing the main house remodel before the family move in over summer 2026.
This is a sole couple role, responsible for running the property independently and ensuring it is maintained to a high standard all year round. The Principals and extended family intend to use the property at weekends and holidays, and additional temporary staff will be brought in when entertaining.
Duties included but not limited to:
Housekeeper/Cook duties:
- Full housekeeping duties
- Family-style cooking, batch cooking, and occasional entertaining support
- Laundry, ironing, and wardrobe management
- Packing and unpacking for Principal’s travel
- Grocery shopping and household provisioning
- Preparing the house for guest visits
Houseman/Gardener duties:
- General handyman duties and property maintenance
- Light garden maintenance and oversight of external contractors
- Pool checks and basic maintenance
- Monitoring oil deliveries and general estate logistics
- Acting as an additional security presence when required
- Occasional driving (train stations, airports, errands)
