We are currently seeking a passionate and skilled private chef to cook for 2-8 people in the South of France.
Day to day, the chef will be responsible for preparing a delicious, light breakfast which is beautifully presented, followed by a family-style lunch with vibrant Mediterranean and Middle Eastern-style salads and barbeques. In the evenings, you would be required to prepare canapés followed by a 3-course plated dinner.
The family are passionate about food and enjoy healthy, fresh meals from a variety of cuisines, which are beautifully presented and prepared with local ingredients of the highest quality. The ideal candidate will have previous experience on yachts, be highly organised, knowledgeable and work calmly and efficiently to ensure exceptional culinary standards.
The chef will be responsible for all menu planning and food shopping. As the villa is remote and the shops are not nearby, the chef must be extremely organised and confident provisioning, driving is therefore essential. There are two housekeepers who are happy to assist with washing up and clearing up, as well as basic food-prep. The kitchen is traditional, however, it is fully equipped with modern appliances and equipment.
Accommodation is provided in a separate bedroom and bathroom. The role is 6 days working with 1 day off per week.
*A trial shift either in London or the South of France will be required.
