Housekeeper Required in Surrey- ASAP Start

Our client is looking for a hard-working housekeeper to join their large housekeeping team.

• Salary: £30,000-£38,000 gross per annum 

Overview:

We are seeking an enthusiastic and capable housekeeper who will relish the opportunity to join a supportive housekeeping team on a beautiful country estate. 

Whilst a strong background in a private household or estate is important, we are also looking for a candidate who has a keen willingness to learn and adapt to the specific needs of the estate. Furthermore, as you will be working within a wider team, the ability to work well with others and communicate effectively is essential for this position. This role involves reporting to the Head Housekeeper, so the ideal candidate must be comfortable at following direction carefully.

The working hours are 9am to 6pm, Monday to Friday. When the family are in residence this schedule may vary to include earlier starts/later finishes and some weekend work. The rotas are planned well in advance to ensure any adjustments can be accommodated smoothly.

There is a well-loved family dog on the estate, so a genuine affection for animals is important. Due to the rural setting of the estate, for live out candidates you must be a driver with your own car within a commutable distance.  

For those who wish to live in, a private flat with an ensuite bedroom and kitchenette is available.

Duties included not limited to:

• Traditional housekeeping duties, such as cleaning, mopping dusting and vacuuming
• Caring for valuable artwork, antiques and flooring throughout the property
• Monitor household cleaning supplies, conducting regular stock checks and replenishing as needed
• Manage laundry and ironing, including delicate and high value garments, overseeing wardrobe organisation.
• Assisting with meal preparation and post meal clearing, maintain a clean and orderly kitchen environment.
• Maintaining the property in an immaculate and organised state, ensuring all areas of the household reflect standards of excellence.
