Overview
Our client is seeking an experienced, warm and professional Butler / House Manager to join their private household in Verbier for the winter season.
The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the family is exceptionally well looked after, creating a welcoming and comfortable home environment and providing attentive, personalised service throughout their stay.
Working alongside an established household team, including Housekeepers and a Nanny, with a Chef available when required, the role will focus on family service, household organisation, grocery shopping and assisting with entertaining.
The ideal candidate will be naturally hospitable, organised and proactive, with a genuine enjoyment of looking after a family and anticipating their needs. The household enjoys a relaxed lifestyle, so someone personable, adaptable and happy to assist wherever required would be an excellent fit.
There is also the possibility of a permanent position supporting the family across their properties in Switzerland and the South of France.
Extra Details of the Role
Duties include, but are not limited to:
- Preparing and serving breakfast for the family from time to time
- Providing attentive daily service and ensuring the family’s needs are met
- Creating a warm, welcoming and comfortable home environment
- Managing grocery shopping and ensuring household provisions are well stocked
- Assisting with the day-to-day organisation and smooth running of the property
- Coordinating with the Housekeepers, Nanny and visiting Chef
- Helping organise family dinners and entertaining
- Setting tables and preparing dining areas for meals and guests
- Assisting with food and beverage service during family dinners
- Ensuring the home is beautifully presented and ready for the family’s daily activities
- Supporting the family with general household requests and errands
- Assisting with arrangements for the family dog when required
- Working flexibly to accommodate the family’s schedule and changing requirements

Key Criteria
- Previous experience as a Butler, House Manager or in a similar private household service role
- Full driving licence essential, with confidence driving in Switzerland
- Warm, personable and highly organised, with excellent service standards and a flexible, hands-on approach
- EU working rights essential
