A private family are looking for a mature, energetic and highly capable Rota Nanny to care for their happy, active 2.5-year-old boy who has Williams Syndrome.

Overview
He is generally a typical, fun-loving toddler but has some developmental delays including low muscle and ligament tone, as well as being non-verbal. He attends regular PT, OT and speech appointments, throughout the week. The nanny will be responsible for providing confident, attentive care and supporting his development, socialisation and independence.
He has a good routine, generally sleeps well and currently wakes once during the night. He eats well and loves his food!
The role is primarily sole charge, with the parents leaving you to coordinate his diary. The nanny will work closely with the opposite nanny and provide thorough handovers which the parents will oversee.
Duties included but not limited to:
- Full nursery duties
- Providing sole-charge care and maintaining the child’s routines
- Supporting developmental, communication and mobility needs
- Accompanying the child to PT, OT, speech and other appointments
- Planning classes, playgroups, playdates and social activities
- Supporting swimming, sensory play and other water activities
- Encouraging independence and age-appropriate development
- Maintaining records of meals, sleep, activities, appointments and observations
- Monitoring routines and being aware of any changes in habits or wellbeing
- Following guidance from medical and therapy professionals
- Preparing healthy meals and snacks
- Supporting the wider care team with clear handovers and scheduling
- Travelling extensively with the family, including overseas and Canada for extended periods

Key criteria
- Strong toddler and special-needs experience
- Direct experience with Williams Syndrome highly desirable
- Mature, calm, patient and dependable
- Energetic and confident supporting an active child
- Excellent swimmer and comfortable with water-based activities
- Confident driver with a safe driving record
- Strong organisational and communication skills
- Valid US passport / US working rights essential
- Florida-based – no fly-in/fly-out arrangement
- Current paediatric First Aid and CPR, or willing to obtain
- Enhanced background and security checks required
