A family is looking for Nanny/Governess to join household and support three school aged boys who are 8 and 10 year old twins.
Highlights:
- Start Dates: ASAP
- Working Hours: 3:00/3:30pm–7:30/8:00pm, plus one approximately five-hour half-day at the weekend
- Salary: £55,000 + gross per annum

Overview:
This is a fully staffed household who have housekeepers and chefs, therefore, your focus is on the academic development, organisation, extra curricular activity scheduling and creating a structured and stimulating after-school routine.
The hours may upscale slightly in school holidays and there may be occasional travel too.
Ideally, the candidate would have a degree or equivalent, with previous teaching, tutoring, governess or educational experience. They should have excellent spoken and written English, strong organisational and communication skills, excellent references and be willing to undergo the appropriate background checks. The candidate must also be a non-smoker.
Duties included but not limited to:
- Overseeing and supporting daily homework
- Reading with the children and encouraging a genuine love of books
- Supporting revision, school projects and independent study
- Providing strong support in English and mathematics
- Helping the children develop effective study and organisational habits
- Maintaining an overview of school communications, deadlines and academic commitments
- Coordinating the children’s after-school activities, tutoring and extracurricular schedules
- Accompanying the children to extracurricular activities
- Collecting one child from school on foot when required
- Creating a structured, stimulating and enjoyable after-school routine
- Encouraging intellectual curiosity, independent thinking and discussion
- Communicating effectively with parents regarding the children’s progress, schedules and requirements

Key Criteria
- Strong understanding of the British curriculum, particularly Key Stage 2 / Year 6, with supporting the transition to KS3
- Excellent English and mathematics skills
- Degree or equivalent qualification preferred
- Previous teaching, tutoring, governess or educational experience highly desirable
- Excellent spoken and written English
- Academically strong, intellectually curious and passionate about books, learning and ideas
- Highly organised with excellent communication skills
