Overview
A warm and welcoming family with three school-aged children, based in High Street Kensington, is seeking an experienced Live-In Housekeeper / Cook to join their established household team.
Working alongside two Daily Housekeepers, a Nanny and a PA, the successful candidate will have a dual role, with a particular focus on preparing fresh, family-style evening meals and batch cooking breakfasts, snacks and lunches.
When not cooking, the candidate will be expected to support the wider household team with housekeeping and childcare-related tasks as required. This may include assisting the Nanny with the children when needed.
The family are looking for someone organised, flexible and discreet, who enjoys working as part of a professional household team and is happy to muck in wherever required.
Working Schedule
- Monday: 1pm–8:30pm
- Tuesday–Friday: 7am–8:30am and 1pm–8:30pm
- Babysitting: Up to three nights per week, including Friday night
Duties include, but are not limited to:
- Preparing fresh, family-style meals for the family
- Batch cooking breakfasts, snacks and meals for days off
- Maintaining a clean, organised and well-stocked kitchen
- Assisting with laundry, ironing, wardrobe care and household organisation when time permits
- Supporting the other Housekeepers with general housekeeping duties
- Assisting with household organisation and maintaining high presentation standards
- Working closely with the Nanny, PA and wider household team
- Providing babysitting support
- Assisting with the children when required, including occasional cover for the Nanny
- Occasional travel to the family’s country house

Key Criteria
- Previous experience in a similar role within a private household
- Proven longevity and commitment in previous positions
- Strong spoken English and excellent communication skills
