Live-out Housekeeper/Cook required in Kingston upon Thames, London – November 2026 Start

A family who are expecting a baby in November 2026 are seeking an experienced and confident housekeeper/cook who can assist with the day to day running of their home.

• Working Hours: Monday-Friday, 9:00am-7:00pm or 8:00am to 6:00pm
• Salary: £50,000-£55,000 gross per annum

Overview:

This young family is looking for an experienced Housekeeper/ Cook to help them keep their house running smoothly. You will be responsible for the cleaning, laundry and ironing for the family in their four bedroomed home as well as cooking family style meals for lunch and supper.  The family are expecting their first baby in early November and would like a housekeeper who is happy to help out with little one from time to time if Mum needs to pop out for quick errands etc.

You will be expected to cook 3-5 fresh family style suppers a week, alongside providing lunch each day. Mum is going to be home full time whilst Dad works from home a few days per week. Some Asian style cooking would be appreciated as Dad grew up in Hong Kong and enjoys this type of food.

The wider family have a cockerpoo who visits frequently, so the successful candidate should be comfortable around dogs. A driver is also beneficial but not essential.

Duties included but not limited to:

• Traditional housekeeping duties such as hoovering, dusting, mopping throughout the home.
• Family laundry, including ironing and bed linens.
• Managing household stock and groceries.
• Preparing fresh family evening meals and relaxed lunches.
• Providing flexible support to the family as their needs develop following the arrival of their baby.
• Running ad hoc errands when required.

Key criteria:

• At least 3 years previous experience as a housekeeper/cook in a private household
• Confident family style cook
• Proactive, organised and able to work independently
