We are seeking a dedicated Domestic Couple to join a young family in their country home.

• Salary: £70,000–£80,000 gross per annum

Overview

A lovely family with four school aged children based in the Hampshire countryside are seeking an experienced Live-in Domestic Couple to oversee the day-to-day running of their beautiful country home.

This is a fantastic long-term opportunity, with previous household staff remaining with the family for many years and has arisen solely due to the retirement of the current member of the household team, who has enjoyed many happy years with the family. The successful couple will be proactive, discreet and hands-on.

The family live in an eight-bedroom home set within six acres of gardens and are planning a renovation in the near future.

The household is home to two dogs and a cat, and the successful candidate will be comfortable around animals. A driver is essential due to the rural location.

You may be required to work one weekend day a month, so flexibility is required, you will be paid over time for this extra day. 

Duties included but not limited to:

Housekeeper responsibilities:

• Full housekeeping duties including dusting, mopping and hoovering
• Family laundry, such as ironing and bed linens
• Preparing breakfast and family-style evening meals (preferred but not essential)
• Running errands such as shopping and dry cleaning runs.
• Occasional school pick-ups if needed

Handyman/Grounds responsibilities:

• General property maintenance
• Assisting with the upkeep of the six-acre gardens and grounds
• Helping with ongoing gardening tasks such as mowing the lawn
• Walking the family dogs
• Driving family members to lunches or appointments when required

Key Criteria
