Live-in Housekeeper required near Andover, Hampshire – September Start

• Salary: £45,000–£50,000 gross per annum

Overview

A lovely family with four school aged children based in the Hampshire countryside are seeking an experienced Live-in Housekeeper to oversee the day-to-day running of their beautiful country home.

This is a fantastic long-term opportunity, with previous household staff remaining with the family for many years and has arisen solely due to the retirement of the current member of the household team, who has enjoyed many happy years with the family. The successful couple will be proactive, discreet and hands-on.

The family live in an eight-bedroom home set within six acres of gardens and are planning a renovation in the near future.

The household is home to two dogs and a cat, and the successful candidate will be comfortable around animals. A driver is essential due to the rural location.

You may be required to work one weekend day a month, so flexibility is required, you will be paid over time for this extra day. 

This client would also consider a Domestic Couple for this role, should this be of interest. 

Duties included but not limited to:

• Full housekeeping duties including dusting, mopping and hoovering
• Family laundry, such as ironing and bed linens
• Occasionally preparing breakfast and family-style evening meals, cooking preferred but not essential
• Helping with the smooth running of the household
• Occasional school pick-ups when required
• Pet care

Key criteria:

• At least 3 years’ experience working in a similar role
