Live-Out Housekeeper – Near Haslemere, Surrey – ASAP Start

Our client is looking for a housekeeper to join a small and dedicated team in caring for a large country estate.

Highlights

• Start: ASAP
• Location: Near Haslemere, Surrey
• Working Hours: 40 hours per week, 8am to 5pm (1-hour unpaid break). Flexibility required when the principal is in residence, including working weekends and holidays  
• Salary:  £35,000 to £40,000 gross per annum

Overview
The role is generally Monday to Friday, unless the principals are in residence (about 3 – 5 months per year spread over the year) when you will be required to work some weekends and bank holidays.

You will be working in a team, ensuring the property is kept to a high standard at all times in readiness for their arrival.
 
Duties included but not limited to:

• Assisting the House Manager with day-to-day housekeeping operations
• Perform full housekeeping duties, ensuring all areas of the residence are immaculately maintained, including the main house and any outbuildings
• Daily cleaning and upkeep of all areas which includes dusting, vacuuming, mopping and sanitising surfaces
• Making beds and regular changing of bed linen
• Laundry management of bed linens
• Polishing silverware and caring for fine furniture, fixtures, and delicate materials
• Ensuring rooms are always presented to an exemplary standard
• Assisting and communicating effectively with the House Manager regarding general household organisation and maintaining inventory of cleaning supplies

Key criteria

• 5* Hotel experience is a bonus but not essential
• Drivers licence and own car to commute to work is required
