A dedicated, proactive and detail-oriented Housekeeper is required to join the household staff of a large, formal private residence in North Hampshire.

- Salary: £32,000 – £35,000 gross per annum (DOE)
Overview
The role involves maintaining the cleanliness and presentation of the main house, outbuildings, staff accommodation, and guest cottages to the highest standards. The estate operates at an exceptionally high level of service and includes Butlers, Chefs, Security, and Chauffeurs, so teamwork is essential.
The ideal candidate will have prior domestic or hotel cleaning experience. This is a demanding but rewarding role that suits candidates who are ambitious, willing, and wanting to start their journey in private households. Discretion and confidentiality is paramount.
Duties included but not limited to:
- Assisting the House Manager with day-to-day housekeeping operations
- Perform full housekeeping duties, ensuring all areas of the residence are immaculately maintained, including the main house, outbuildings including staff accommodation, studios and guest cottages
- Daily cleaning and upkeep of all areas which includes dusting, vacuuming, mopping and sanitising surfaces
- Laundry management, including washing, ironing, and wardrobe management
- Making beds and regular changing of bed linen
- Polishing silverware and caring for fine furniture, fixtures, and delicate materials
- Ensuring rooms are always presented to an exemplary standard
- Assisting and communicating effectively with the House Manager regarding general household organisation and maintaining inventory of cleaning supplies
Key criteria:
- Driving licence and own car essential
- Strong attention to detail and excellent time management skills
- Enthusiastic, proactive, and a team player
- Comfortable working around dogs (no direct pet care required)
- Must be within easy commute of Andover/ Newbury
