Private Laundress for Busy Family Based in Chelsea – Start ASAP

We are on the hunt for an experienced and savvy laundress to join a lovely family of 5 near Sloane Square in Chelsea.

The children have a nanny and there is also a housekeeper, therefore there will be no cleaning involved unless the housekeeper is absent.

Duties include:

• Mending clothes and making alterations
• Packing and unpacking suitcases, ensuring certain garments are clean and ready for trips
• Wardrobe management of the principals and their three children (newborn on the way)
• Washing bed linen and towels regularly
• Ironing and steaming
• Labelling children’s clothes
• Hand washing delicates and designer items

All clothing must be dealt with in house and not at the dry cleaners. Whilst this is a sole charge role, the housekeeper will help with laundry duties when needed.

The family keep their off-season clothes in storage a 15 minute walk away. All bags need to be labelled and organised clearly for easy changeover.

The days/hours of the role are Monday to Thursday, 8am – 5pm, and Saturday 8am – 5pm.
