We are looking for a live-in housekeeper to join our client’s large 6-bedroom house in Chelsea.
The housekeeper will be employed under a 1 year fixed term contract, however there is a possibility this could be extended.
The house consists of 6 bedrooms over 4 floors, and due to the client’s travelling schedule, the housekeeper must live in. Accommodation offered consists of an ensuite bedroom with a separate kitchen and laundry facilities.
Utilities are covered.
Duties include:
- Cleaning the home, including mopping, dusting, vacuuming, wiping surfaces and windowsills
- Caring for antiques, such as polishing brass and silver
- Laundry and ironing, including care of delicate items and unpacking/packing for the Principles
- Changing bed linen and towels
- Stock and inventory management
- Pet care and occasional dog walking
- Shopping as necessary, running errands
- Overseeing contractors and accepting deliveries
- Liaising with the client manager
The family have two adult daughters who visit from time to time, and since the clients travel often, the ideal candidate will have strong initiative and won’t need direction from others as they will regularly be in the home alone.
The days/hours of the role are Monday to Friday, 8am – 5pm, however there is the need for flexibility, especially when the Principals are in residence.
Discretion and respecting the family’s privacy is vital.
