Devoted Chauffeur/Valet based in Mayfair, London – Start ASAP

Once in a lifetime opportunity to work for a busy entrepreneur working as a chauffeur and valet to assist him in his day-to-day life in Mayfair, London and occasional overseas trips.

Due to the nature of the role, the client needs a flexible candidate, with significant private household experience, willing & respectful attitude, and to be on hand at any time, so there are not set days/hours. However, the client travels for a significant proportion of the year, of which a small number of weeks will require assistance, but the majority of weeks whilst he is abroad will be without requiring assistance, so this would be treated as holiday/time off (in lieu) for the Chauffeur.

Please see below an in-depth description of duties the Chauffeur/Driver will need to carry out:

Driver:

• Experience driving luxury vehicles is a must (i.e. large Bentley or equivalent)
• Experience driving in London, the wider UK and must feel confident driving in the EU & US
• Responsible for taking the car to be cleaned, repaired and general maintenance of the vehicle
• Driving High Profile/VIP clients and guests of the Principal, when required
• Day-to-day, when in London, candidate will drive the Principal to/from work meetings, to/from dinners and events in & around London, and driving to carry out ad hoc duties (see below)

Valet:

• Pack the Principals suitcases for trips, unpack/pack in his hotel room when abroad, unpack when back home (folding clothes, hanging clothes, organising)
• Make the Principals bed in the morning
• Religious altar – prepare the Principals altar for prayer (this takes 2 minutes and involves pouring milk + water into a cup for him, then pouring this into a container after he’s prayed)
• Making eggs for breakfast and preparing (for example: chicken and rice) for lunch when required 
• Ad hoc errands – picking up dry cleaning, grocery shopping, setting up/cleaning up for dinner parties at home, happy to handle alcohol
• Making sure the flat is tidy at all times, FOH duties when the client has guests ie making teas and coffees 
• Competent at liaising with tradespeople and showing them to maintenance related matters inside the Principals apartment

Travel:

• Must be flexible and willing to travel both in the UK and abroad with the Principal, sometimes at short notice
• In the UK: this will mainly involve chauffeuring and errand running whilst the Principal is at racing events
• Abroad: same as the above, as well as driving the Principal to/from business meetings and driving their High Profile/VIP clients
• Principal will not require the candidate to travel to every destination with them

The household is also supported by a chief of staff, full time PA and a part time cleaner, therefore household/admin responsibilities will be shared. The expectation is that the candidate will lend support and top up small jobs that need doing at the apartment as and when.

The ideal candidate will be able to travel into Europe and US freely, have experience driving luxury cars in London and internationally as well as ultra flexible with their working schedule. The role also requires organisation of cleaning, repairing and general maintenance of the client’s vehicles.
