A busy private family is seeking a qualified and experienced tutor to support three children aged 11, 10 and 6.
Highlights
- Start: Dec 2026-Apr 2027
- Location: London & Athens
- Working Hours: 8 hours a day, 5 days a week in London; 3 hours a day, 5 days a week in Athens + one weekend day

Overview
The position will begin in London in December 2026, where the family will be based until February 2027, before returning to their home in Athens. The family expects to return to London for the Easter period in 2027.
While the family is in London, the tutor will take responsibility for home-schooling the three children, following their school’s British curriculum and ensuring that they remain fully up to date with their academic programme. The tutor will be supported, where required, by the family’s education adviser.
The successful candidate will be expected to bring learning to life, using creative, engaging and innovative teaching methods and adapting lessons to the individual interests, strengths and needs of each child.
The children are happy, curious and enthusiastic learners. They enjoy discovering new things and respond particularly well to stimulating and personalised learning. The role therefore offers an excellent opportunity for an experienced educator to work closely with a family and provide a genuinely tailored educational experience.
Hours
- London: Approximately 8 hours per day, five days per week.
- Athens: Approximately 3 hours per day after school, together with one day at the weekend. During this period, the role will focus on academic support, consolidation and enrichment alongside the children’s normal schooling.
Household & Accommodation
This is a fully staffed household, and the tutor will work collaboratively with the family and other members of the household team, including rota nannies who care for the children and their two younger siblings, aged 2 and a baby due in January 2027. Teaching will take place in the family home.
The family has a dog at home in Athens, so the successful candidate should be comfortable around dogs.
Duties included but not limited to:
- Following the British curriculum
- Planning fun and engaging lessons
- Creating a sense of continuity for the children
Benefits
- Accommodation is available in Athens and in London if required, although a London based tutor would be preferred.
