Domestic Couple Required in Mid Berkshire – ASAP Start 

Our client is searching for a Domestic Couple to join a team on a large family estate, ensuring the smooth-running operation of the household and grounds. 

Highlights:

• Start: ASAP
• Location: Mid Berkshire
• Working Hours: 5-day week (45 hours) with weekend work required. Days off mid-week.1 weekend off a month
• Salary: £70,000+ gross per annum

Overview:

The property has 6-bedrooms and 8-bathrooms. The family are searching for an active, energetic and enthusiastic couple who will cover the household duties and aspects of garden maintenance. It would suit a couple who are a strong team and enjoy living in the countryside.

Duties included but not limited to:

Housekeeping:

• Day to day cleaning and occasional deep cleans
• Family laundry, ironing and bed linens
• Providing healthy meals throughout the week, specifically family style meals over the weekends whilst the extended family are visiting, utilising the estate’s kitchen gardens and harvesting fruit from the orchards
• Caring for and preserving high value antiques and artwork
• Overseeing the care of the dogs and hens

Gardening/maintenance:

• Assisting with the general maintenance and repairs of the house
• Please note – this is a very active and physical role e.g climbing ladders
• Servicing the tennis court and maintaining the indoor pool 
• Providing updates of the estate and supporting the Farm Manager and Head Gardener
• Preparation of fire logs
• Ensuring the cars and house windows are cleaned regularly

Key Criteria:

• Both candidates need to be confident drivers
• Horticulture qualifications are not essential although experience in ground maintenance is
