This lovely family is looking for a positive, flexible nanny with a warm personality to help care for their two boys, aged 2.5 years and 9 months.

Overview:
The nanny needs to have a relaxed yet professional approach. The family’s current nanny has been with them for 2 years and is leaving to go on maternity leave. Ideally, there will be a handover period of a few weeks to transition care to the new nanny.
The children are happy and in good routines. This is a shared care role with the mother, and both parents are very involved in the lives of their children – the father works from home in London and in Barbados.
The role is 5 days per week, 7 am to 7 pm, with some flexibility for evening cover (paid as overtime) and in the event that the family need to travel or needs sole charge proxy parent care for the children. There is some flexibility with the 2 days off per week – these will be given as consecutive days and usually at the weekend, but this may vary when the family are overseas.
The nanny would have their own private bedroom and bathroom and in London and Barbados, in Ireland, the nanny has their own separate nanny flat. The nanny is able to stay in their room/apartment on their off days or even on vacation if they wish.
The family are based between London and Ireland, then travel extensively, in particular spending from approximately November until March / April in Barbados (where the family have a property directly on the beach). The nanny would be required to travel with the family, and so must be a confident flyer.
In London, the family have a housekeeper twice a week, in Ireland, the family have a full-time housekeeper, and in Barbados, the family have a full-time housekeeping staff and a chef (who also prepares meals for the children and nanny).
All nursery duties will be completed by the nanny.
The nanny must be a confident swimmer, and a driver is preferable but not essential.
The family have a Labrador at their home in Ireland.
Duties include but not limited to:
- Routine maintenance
- Organising age-appropriate activities and outings
- Supporting milestones and developmental stages
- Preparing nutritious meals for the children.
- Laundry
- Ensuring the children’s rooms, play area, and belongings are tidy.
Key Criteria:
- Confident swimming ability
- Driving is preferred but not essential
- Ability to work on a sole and shared charge.
- Longevity in previous roles
