Overview
The principal has recently moved back to the UK and is establishing a fully staffed household within a substantial, newly built property. The residence comprises six bedrooms, all with en-suite bathrooms, and regularly hosts guests and extended family members.
The successful candidate will take ownership of the smooth day-to-day running of the property, coordinating contractors and temporary staff as well as overseeing the permanent housekeeper/cooks and gardener, creating standard operating procedures and schedules which ensure the residence is maintained to an exceptionally high standard.
This is an ideal role for a confident, proactive and hands-on House Manager / Butler who enjoys working in a busy private household, is comfortable managing multiple suppliers and service providers, and can anticipate the needs of the Principal and guests.
A new baby is expected in approximately two months, with separate childcare support planned.
Duties include, but are not limited to:
- Taking responsibility for the overall smooth running of the property
- Overseeing household operations and ensuring consistently high standards
- Coordinating provisions, deliveries and household supplies
- Overseeing the outdoor swimming pool and ensuring it is maintained throughout the year
- Organising maintenance and servicing requirements
- Liaising with tradespeople and external suppliers
- Ensuring the property is prepared for guests and family visits
- Providing discreet and polished service to the Principal and guests
- Assisting with hosting and household events when required
- Occasional chauffeuring and airport transfers
- Running errands and assisting with general household logistics
- Supporting the wider household team as required
- Being comfortable around and assisting with the care of the family’s two Labradoodles

Key Criteria
- Previous experience as a House Manager, Butler or Senior Household Manager
- Strong private household experience
- Exceptional organisational and communication skills
- Highly proactive with the ability to work independently
- Excellent attention to detail and high standards of cleanliness and presentation
- Full UK driving licence preferred
