We are seeking an experienced and highly professional private chef to cater for a family visiting London from 5th to 8th June. The chef will be responsible for planning a diverse, nutritious and carefully tailored menu that aligns with the family’s preferences and specific dietary needs.
Each day, the chef will be expected to plan a full menu in advance, which will be presented to the family to allow for any necessary adjustments. The role includes preparing daily breakfast, lunch, dinner, and snacks according to the agreed schedule. The chef will also be responsible for sourcing fresh, high-quality ingredients and essential pantry items, while maintaining extremely high standards of cleanliness and hygiene in the kitchen at all times.
Dietary requirements are central to this role. The principal is diabetic and requires all food to be free from refined sugars, using only natural sweeteners. The daughter has a nut allergy, so all meals must be entirely free from nuts and seeds. Additionally, all meals must exclude citrus, herbs and spices – including black pepper. The core menu should consist of vegetarian and fish based options, though if meat is requested, it must be halal.
The ideal candidate will be adaptable, detail-oriented and confident working with dietary requirements. You must be capable of responding to menu changes as well as accommodating any additional guests during the family stay.
