Domestic Couple Required in Hampshire – ASAP Start

We are looking for an extremely experienced Domestic Couple to join a large country estate in Hampshire.

Highlights:

• Start: ASAP
• Location: Hampshire
• Working Hours: 5 days on, 2 days off – with flexibility for weekends when the family is in residence
•  Salary: £60,000 – £65,000 gross per annum 

Overview:

Our client is looking for a meticulous and dedicated domestic couple to join their wider household team on their beautiful formal country estate in Hampshire.

When the family are in residence, the role is fast paced and requires a flexible and hands on approach. The household includes a family dog, so a genuine fondness for animals is essential. During the shooting season the family frequently entertain and support with hosting will be expected.

The ability to work well in a wider household team, follow instructions with a positive can-do attitude are essential for this role.

Duties included but not limited to:

Housekeeping:

• Day to day cleaning of the large country house.
• Family laundry, such as ironing and linens.
• Providing healthy meals, specifically family style meals over the weekends whilst the extended family are visiting and providing shoot lunches and cooking for smaller scale dinner parties.
• Caring for and preserving high value antiques and artwork.
• Running errands, such as grocery shopping and dry cleaning drop offs.

Gardening/maintenance:

• Assisting with the general maintenance and repairs of the house.
• Servicing and maintaining the swimming pool.
• Ensuring garden supplies are well stocked.
• Preparation and supply of fire logs.
• Updating the MOTs on the cars and general car upkeep.
• Ensuring the gravel driveways and compost bays are immaculate.
• Overseeing the care of the dog.
• Please note – this is a very active and physically demanding role

Key criteria:

• UK drivers licence essential for both members of the couple team
