Overview
Our client is seeking a reliable and adaptable Assistant Housekeeper/Nanny to work closely with an existing team in a well-organised household. The role involves assisting with light childcare on a shared charge basis, and general household duties, providing support where needed across cleaning, light cooking, and day-to-day organisation.
The position requires a team player who can work alongside a House Manager, other Housekeepers, and a Nanny. Flexibility is required for travel, especially during school holidays, including Christmas and Easter
The family spend summers in Turkey, where staff accommodation is provided (own room within the staff apartment).
You will be required to work 9 hours per day, but could choose a start time between 9am and 11am to suit your needs.
Duties included but not limited to:
- Assisting the mother with light childcare for two young children when the nanny is off
- Housekeeping duties such as cleaning and organisation
- Assisting with daily household routines and errands
- Supporting with family cooking and meal preparation when the chef is off
- Walking the family dog
- Providing cover for the Housekeeper or Nanny when required
- Travelling with the family as part of the support team during holidays
Key criteria
- Previous experience in a similar private household role
- Driving License
- Animal friendly
- English to C1 level required
- Must be eligible to work in Portugal
