This large Estate is looking for a Domestic Couple to join their busy team, helping to ensure the smooth running operation of the estate.
Highlights:
- Start: ASAP
- Location: Estate in Berkshire
- Working Hours: 5 days a week including weekends, 1 weekend off/month (45 hour working week)
- Salary: £70,000- £80,000 per annum (combined)
Overview:
This joint role will support the smooth running of a large family estate in Berkshire. The family would like an energetic and enthusiastic couple who would cover the extensive household duties and the various aspects of the garden maintenance. It would suit a couple who are a strong team and enjoy living in the countryside whilst having extensive experience of maintaining an organised private household.
Duties included but not limited to:
Housekeeping:
- Day to day cleaning of the 6 bedroom and 8 bathroom property and occasional deep clean
- Family laundry, such as ironing and linens
- Providing healthy meals throughout the week, specifically family style meals over the weekends whilst the extended family are visiting, utilising the estate’s kitchen gardens and harvesting fruit from the orchards
- Caring for and preserving high value antiques and artwork
- Overseeing the care of the dogs and hens
Gardening/maintenance:
- Assisting with the general maintenance and repairs of the house
- Servicing the tennis courts and maintaining the indoor pool
- Providing updates to part of the estate whilst supporting the Farm Manager and Head Gardener
- Preparation and supply of fire logs
- Ensuring the cars and windows are clean
- Please note – this is a very active and physically demanding role

Key Criteria:
- Both candidates would need to be confident drivers
- Horticulture qualifications are not essential although must have experience in ground maintenance
- A trusted and reliable couple
