Our client is on the hunt for an experienced and independent domestic couple to care for their secondary residence in Berkshire. Due to the culture of the client, Tagalog speakers are preferred.
The client only spends around 2 months in residence. Therefore, whilst it will be all hands on deck when they’re there, things are more laid-back when they’re away.
The client has three children. The eldest child is at school stays over the weekend and during school holidays.
Duties include:
- Cooking healthy and nutritious breakfast, lunch and dinner when the client or his children are in residence, adhering to allergies
- All housekeeping duties, including cleaning the bedrooms, bathrooms, reception rooms by vacuuming, mopping, dusting, wiping down surfaces
- All laundry and ironing
- Changing bed linen, making the beds and preparing guest rooms as necessary
- Walking the clients’ two dogs alongside the gardener
- Light gardening duties
- Household maintenance
- Service during drinks, dinner and lunch parties
- Running errands, such as grocery shopping and liaising with the family for specific requests
- Collecting guests from the station
- Occasional travel
- Assisting with childcare
The client’s parents also reside on the estate, which means occasional requests and ad hoc assistance may be required from them.
The staff accommodation is a recently-refurbished 4-bedroom cottage which is shared with 2 other members of staff that come and go.
The ideal couple will be a strong team, highly discreet, respectful of the client’s privacy, and comfortable around children, with prior childcare experience.
Both candidates must be able to drive, and a Schengen visa is preferred for occasional travel. A car can be provided.
