Full-Time Sous Chef for Luxury Yacht

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Sous Chef to join a luxury yacht based in the Mediterranean and the Caribbean.

As the Sous Chef, you will be working under the guidance of the executive chef, however they are looking for someone who has got a good amount of yachting experience behind them. You will be responsible for assisting with cooking for two main Principles and their guests. Their preferences are family style food to a high quality and they particularly enjoy Mediterranean-style, Ottolenghi-inspired meals with an emphasis on fresh fish, meat, and healthy ingredients. You will be required to create three meals a day, along with afternoon tea.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is looking to broaden their knowledge and really grow into the role.

  • Requirements: Experience working as a sous chef on a yacht of approx. 50 – 70m
  • Certificates/Training Required: ENG 1 medical, STCW (basic safety training), Ships Cook certificate.
  • Start Date: End of Feb – mid March
  • Accommodation: Own cabin
  • Dietary Requirements: No specific requirements
  • Holiday: 120 days annual leave
  • Additional Staff: additional crew members including an executive chef, crew chef and galley assistant
  • Driving Required: Yes
