High-End Junior Butler Wanted near Ascot – Start ASAP

We are on the hunt for a positive and proactive Junior Butler who is keen to continue their career within a large household.

The Butlers will have excellent presentation skills and be immaculately presented, as well as having a keen eye for detail.  The Butlers will be discreet and will have a respectful attitude towards the family and their property.

Please see below the duties and responsibilities within the role.

• Reporting to the Head Butler to ensure that all household activities and events run smoothly
• Meeting and greeting of guests, and attending to the guests’ needs
• Answering the telephone
• Assisting in the care and inventory of silver, glassware and china
• Assisting in the care and inventory of the wine cellar
• Serving at the table on a daily basis – should have knowledge of silver and butler service
• Having a good knowledge of wine, and being able to pour and serve correctly
• Serving all food and beverages throughout the house
• Arranging and maintaining floral arrangements in the house
• Working at larger events, and assist in training the additional waiting staff
• Running of general errands
• Being able to drive if necessary
• Cleaning and laying of fireplaces and alighting for the family and guests
• Moving of furniture when required
• Assisting the Kitchen Porter in washing of silver, glass and china when required

The ideal candidate will have excellent timekeeping, flexibility, and attention to detail.  They will be good team players and also be self-motivated and proactive.

• Previous Private Household or 5* Hotel experience
• Have 5 years’ worth of references that we can verbally verify
• Be comfortable to get an enhanced DBS (this will be paid for/organised by the client)
• Be comfortable to work within a big team and take direction
• Be comfortable with flexible working hours and inconsistent shift patterns

Salary: £35,000 to £40,000 gross per annum (DOE) + yearly review
