Full-Time Private Chef for a household in Belgravia. Start ASAP.

We are currently looking for a full-time Private Chef for a busy household in Belgravia. The Chef will be cooking day-to-day for two Principals who enjoy Italian, French and European cuisine.

The wider family (up to 13 adults plus children) visit for approximately 6-10 weeks throughout the year, for around 2-3 weeks at a time, and will require Ottolenghi style cooking, consisting of healthy, light and fresh meals. 

The Chef must be a team player, happy to help other members of staff when required and build strong relationships with the other staff and food suppliers. The chef will have the opportunity to develop their own menus alongside the client’s preferences, therefore, computer literacy will be needed to develop menu plans and preference sheets.

The chef will be required to keep the kitchen tidy and clean, however, during family visits the chef will be accompanied by a Kitchen Porter. Strong baking skills is essential.

The ideal candidate will have restaurant experience within a busy kitchen and must handle differing requests at any one time whilst maintaining a high standard of service.

  • Day to day schedule: 8am-5pm
  • During family visits: 6:30am-8pm
• Live in/out: Live out position
• Food Shopping: Chef to organise through food suppliers
• Travel: Not Required
• Meals/day during family visit: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner each day
  • Breakfast buffet – Adults help themselves, but you must offer a plated breakfast on request (e.g. eggs benedict)
  • Lunch: Family style buffet
  • Dinner: Family style buffet
  • Extra: Strong baking skills required
• Salary: approx. £70,000 – £80,000 dependent on experience
