Our client is looking for a junior domestic couple who wants to start their career in private households helping to maintain a 12 acre estate.
They are looking for a couple who are happy to primarily run four holiday cottages on the estate both from a housekeeping and groundskeeping perspective.
Duties include but are not limited to:
- Traditional Housekeeping such as vacuuming, mopping, dusting, making beds, cleaning bathrooms and bedrooms, laundry and ironing
- Groundskeeping
- Cottage turnovers
- Liaising with contractors/estate manager
- Filling log baskets etc
- Feeding the ducks, chickens and pigs
In addition to the above, the client would also like you to do one hours housekeeping 5 days/week every morning in the main property to maintain the cleanliness of the household.
In order to apply for this role, the couple needs to have previous housekeeping and gardening experience (this doesn’t need to be within a private household).
The ideal couple will be hands-on, keen to learn new skills and work well in a team.

Days working/hours: 5 days per week, c.45 hours per week
Accommodation: 2 bedroom cottage + utility bills
Driving: Preferred, car provided
Combined Salary: combined £40,000 – £45,000 gross per annum
