We have a fantastic opportunity for a House Manager/Housekeeper to work in a beautiful second home in Cornwall. This role will be suited to either a competent individual or a couple who are happy to put their hand to various household tasks.
The client does not reside in Cornwall permanently and tend to visit twice a month so they are looking for an individual or couple who can both keep the household ticking over whilst the client are away and equally run and provide a seamless service for the client when they are in residence.
Therefore, there will be low and peak times during this role so flexibility on working during weekends when the client is in residence would be most appreciated.
Whilst the client is in residence the candidate/s will be expected to ensure the house is prepped for their arrival (bedrooms made up, bathrooms/living areas tidied & cleaned etc) and they are able to run the household like clockwork. The candidate/s will be expected to host the client and their guests during their stay on all fronts, service may be required from time to time and ensuring the house is maintained in a clean and tidy fashion is imperative. If the candidate/s can cook this is a bonus although the client will most likely hire a professional chef for their stays too.
During the periods of times when the client is away, the candidate/s will be expected to ensure the property is kept secure, maintain the household reporting any maintenance issues to the relevant persons, liaise with the estate manager from their primary residence on necessary household updates and so forth.
The ideal candidate/s will be flexible, someone with prior experience running and taking care of a private household, and happy with changing demands/hours depending on the client’s agenda.
It is a bonus if the candidate/s live locally, however the client is open to offering a relocation package if necessary.
