This is an exciting opportunity for a governess to join our long-standing clients with a fully staffed household and care for their 10 year old daughter in Kuwait.
The little girl attends an American School and therefore the family would like a nanny to have experience with the American Curriculum and hold a teaching degree.
School is from 6.30 am to 2.30 pm, therefore you will need to get her up at 5 am, arrange breakfast and accompany her to school. Whilst she is in school you will be required to use some of this time to prepare lesson plans, activities, and playdates. The rest of the time will be downtime.
After school you will be responsible for picking her up, taking her to activities, outings and playdates, doing some lesson plans, helping with homework and getting her ready for bed. Mum and Dad like to spend time with her at the end of the day meaning you will finish around 7.30 or 8 pm.
You will not be responsible for any nursery duties however you will need to liaise with other staff members to ensure a smooth schedule and that she is eating healthy and nutritious meals.
The family travels during all school holidays and would like you to accompany them. During this time they tend to stay in hotels and you will be required to share a room with the little girl. You will generally be on-call 24/7 for the duration, but the family will offer plenty of downtime to allow you a break.
Whilst in Kuwait you will be provided with your own studio apartment located close to the family home.
The ideal candidate is to hold a teaching degree, be organised, and have strong teamwork skills and communication, with the ability to teach independence as well as focusing on good manners and etiquette.
Driver is not required.
