2 day week Nanny for Primrose Hill (Sunday & Monday)

This lovely family are looking for a professional, organised, flexible, and kind and caring part time Nanny for a little boy (born Sept 2019).

The Nanny would be expected to have a good understanding and experience of working with children of a similar age. The family employ a full time daily nanny (5 days per week).

The little boy is happy, healthy, alert and communicative. He enjoys fresh air/walks, going to the swings at the park and reading books about animals. He’s walking and starting to climb and also loves playing with musical instruments. He’s on the verge of speaking. He is in a good routine, enjoying his food and sleep.
The role is a mixture of sole charge and shared care; the Nanny should be someone who is happy to work alongside the parents but also someone who is happy and capable of taking sole charge that the parents can trust and rely on when they need to work.

The working days / hours will alternate, one weekend Sunday and Monday and the following weekend Saturday and Sunday, working from 9.30am to 7.30pm (depending on family commitments). Babysitting may be required on an ad-hoc basis and would be paid as overtime on an hourly basis. This is a live out role, but accommodation would be provided when overnight sitting is required. The Nanny may also be required to cover some holiday of the full time nanny on an ad-hoc basis and would be paid as overtime on a daily rate.
In a busy household like this organisation is key – the Nanny would need to act on their own initiative and be highly organised with excellent communication skills as they would need to work closely with the family to provide the best level of care for the little boy and create a fun and stimulating environment in which he will continue to develop and strive. They need to have a good understanding of the role that a Nanny plays, with the ability to be discreet, respectful of the family home and to maintain professional boundaries.

All nursery duties are required including preparing food for the child.

A driver is not essential as all amenities and activities are in walking distance of the house.

The family have 3 dogs and 2 cats and so an animal lover is essential.
