Head Chef for Established Company Hall in the City of London

This well-established company based near Cannon Street are looking for a Head Chef on a part-time basis to become part of their friendly team of staff.

The client is hoping to find a permanent chef to work on a part-time basis, committing to approximately 4 events per month, ranging from four-course fine dining private dinners to larger-scale lunches for the company. The menus are chosen by the company and the chef will be in charge of preparing them to the highest quality.

The chef will be given a list of fixed dates for the year, and be expected to commit to extra days (approx. 5-10) per year that the company may require. They will typically be 20 lunches of 10-25 covers and 10 dinners of 50-60 covers per year. For the larger events, there will be an assistant chef to support, and the kitchen is available for preparation in the run-up to these should the chef need to use it.

• Start Date: Trials starting 23rd March
• Days Working: approx. 4 events per month tbc.
• Rate: approx. £300/day
• Hours: (approx) Lunch -7am – 3:30pm, Dinner: 12pm – 8pm
• Duties: Preparing fine-dining lunches and dinners approx. 30 times per year. 3-4 course menus for the company and their guests. Preparing ingredient lists, but shopping not required.
• Team: Assistant chef provided only for larger events when required.
• Experience: At least 3 years of experience in a head chef position.
• Salary: Fixed day rate calculated monthly and put through their payroll with PAYE etc deductions (approx. £300/day with added paid prep days for larger number events)
